Simple guide for workers filling out forms on their phones in the field.
Getting Started
Step 1: Log In
- Open your phone's browser (Safari or Chrome)
- Go to bldr.pro
- Enter your email and password
- Tap Log In
Step 2: Add to Home Screen
Make BLDR work like an app:
- iPhone: Tap Share → Add to Home Screen
- Android: Tap Menu → Add to Home Screen
Now you can tap the BLDR icon to open it instantly!
Filling Out Forms
Finding Your Forms
- Tap the menu icon (three lines) if on mobile
- Your assigned forms appear in the sidebar
- Tap the form you need to fill out
- Tap New Record
Common Field Types
- Text: Type with your keyboard
- Date/Time: Tap to open picker
- Dropdown: Tap to see options
- Checkbox: Tap to check
- Photo: Tap to take picture or choose from gallery
- Signature: Sign with your finger
Taking Photos
- Tap the camera icon on a photo field
- Choose Take Photo or Choose from Gallery
- The photo appears in the form
- You can tap the X to remove and try again
Adding Your Signature
- Tap the signature box
- Sign with your finger on the screen
- Tap Accept when done
- Tap Clear to start over
Working Offline
No cell service? No problem!
- Fill out the form normally
- Tap Submit
- You'll see "Pending Sync"
- When you get internet, it uploads automatically
Tip
Open the forms you need while connected to WiFi before heading to a remote site. This caches them for offline use.
Viewing Your Submissions
- Open the form
- Tap View Records
- Your submissions are listed by date
- Tap any record to see details
Troubleshooting
"I can't find my form"
- Check that you're logged in to the right account
- Pull down to refresh the form list
- Ask your supervisor if you've been assigned
"My photo won't upload"
- Make sure the photo is under 10MB
- Try taking a new photo
- Check if you have internet connection
"GPS isn't working"
- Make sure location is enabled in your phone settings
- Allow BLDR to access your location when prompted
- Move closer to a window or outside
