Solutions to common issues you might encounter.

Login Issues

"Invalid email or password"

  • Check for typos in your email
  • Make sure Caps Lock is off
  • Try resetting your password

"Account not found"

  • Verify you're using the correct email
  • Check if you received an invitation email
  • Contact your administrator

"I forgot my password"

  1. Click "Forgot Password" on the login page
  2. Enter your email
  3. Check your inbox for reset link
  4. Click the link and set a new password

Form Issues

"I can't find my form"

  • Refresh the page
  • Check if you're logged in to the correct account
  • Make sure you've been assigned to the form
  • Ask your admin to verify your permissions

"Form won't submit"

  • Check that all required fields are filled
  • Look for red error messages
  • Make sure photos uploaded successfully
  • Check your internet connection

"Required field error but I filled it in"

  • Scroll through the entire form - you may have missed a field
  • Some fields like dropdowns need an explicit selection
  • Try clearing and re-entering the field

Photo Issues

"Photo won't upload"

  • Check file size (must be under 10MB)
  • Ensure the file is JPG, PNG, or HEIC
  • Try taking a new photo instead of choosing from gallery
  • Check your internet connection

"Camera not working"

  • Allow camera permission when prompted
  • Check Settings → BLDR → Camera permission
  • Try closing and reopening the app
  • Restart your device

GPS & Location Issues

"GPS not working"

  • Enable Location Services in your phone settings
  • Allow BLDR to access location when prompted
  • Move outdoors or near a window
  • Wait 30 seconds for GPS to acquire

"Location is inaccurate"

  • GPS works best outdoors with clear sky view
  • Indoor accuracy may be 50-100 meters
  • Wait for the accuracy indicator to improve

Sync Issues

"Pending sync won't upload"

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try switching between WiFi and cellular
  3. Refresh the page
  4. Close and reopen the app
  5. If still stuck, contact support

"Data disappeared"

  • Check if you're logged in to the correct account
  • Look for "Pending Sync" records that haven't uploaded
  • Check the Trash (if records were deleted)
  • Contact support for data recovery

Browser Issues

"Page won't load"

  • Try a hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily

"Things look broken"

  • Update your browser to the latest version
  • Clear cache: Settings → Clear browsing data
  • Try incognito/private mode
